DIY Bath For Sore Muscles

DIY Bath For Sore Muscles

Muscle Melt Bath Soak

They say there is nothing that a little salt and water can't cure. I'm almost confident this originally refers to a beach somewhere, but for those of us who are land locked by hours--why not try a luxurious time out with a bath ritual?

At Angels and Sages, we love using water as a way to both disconnect and then reconnect.

The bath as a perfect pause to breathe and re-center.

If you want to create your own basic bath soak, it's pretty easy to do.

You'll need:

1/4 Cup Epsom Salt

1/4 Cup Baking Soda

A few drops of your favorite essential oil, and a few drops of olive oil.  If you are crafting a DIY bath soak for sore muscles, essential oils like sweet birch, rosemary, eucalyptus and mint will amplify the magnesium in the epsom salts.

Don't go crazy with the essential oils. More is not always better. Trust me on that. I once had a very unpleasant experience while testing our Alchemy muscle melt bath soak.

Mix all ingredients together and add to running water.

Yes. It's really that easy.

I personally try and intentionally take time out once a week for a good, long bath.

My favorite soak in the here and now is the Melt Soak by Angels and Sages. It’s lightly moisturizing, and chock full of wonderful essential oils that melt tension. It’s the perfect way to de-stress after a long day.
